Your Role in Our Community
Our roots, which began as the Montrose Clinic in 1981, reflect our commitment to healthcare innovation and community involvement. Today, with over 50 clinics including those in Houston, Baytown, Beaumont, and Deer Park, Legacy offers extensive services such as adult primary care, HIV/AIDS care, pediatrics, and a rich array of behavioral health services. Your role as a Front Office Clerk reinforces this history of caring, shaping patients' first impressions, and bolstering the long-term patient-provider relationship. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for patients, both over the phone and in person, embodying Legacy's values of compassionate care.
- Actively contribute to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere that encourages patients to feel valued and respected.
- Collaborate closely with medical and administrative teams to streamline patient check-in and appointment scheduling processes.
- Maintain orderly and efficient front-desk operations and safeguard confidential patient information.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) proficiently to update and manage patient records accurately.
- Engage in continuous professional development opportunities to enhance service delivery and personal growth.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to serve our diverse community.
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Proven ability to multi-task within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experienced in using Electronic Medical Records and other digital platforms relevant to healthcare settings.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is required.
